Faith Consciousness of the Heavenly Father

Greetings and good morning brothers and sisters This is Dr. James Perry continuing with our series
where we seek to explore the deeper meanings of our relationship with Jesus Christ. Over the years,
the heavenly Father has revealed many revelations of spiritual truth to me, and I want to share them
with you. This morning we seek to understand the faith consciousness of the heavenly Father.

And now, sit back and listen to today's message.

Faith Consciousness of the Heavenly Father

"No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he
hath declared him." John, Chapter 1, Verse 18.

Brothers and sisters, in today’’s broadcast, we shall explore the faith consciousness of the heavenly
Father. We know that faith stands for our relationship with the heavenly Father, a step made
necessary because of the lack of maturity of spiritual development. Our spiritual status is not of such
a nature that will allow us, as it were, to stand in the presence of God and "see for ourselves." Thus
we need a technique that will for all practical purposes accomplish the same thing, and this is faith.
We are all beholden to this same faith technique for our relationship with God, the heavenly Father,
and thus the spiritual consciousness of God. And while our spiritual consciousness of God is limited,
partial and incomplete, no such limitations exist within the Father's spiritual consciousness. The
Father is fully, completely, absolutely conscious of his children and has given his children this
marvelous tool of faith for becoming aware of him and knowing him.

Intellectual consciousness of God is a matter of factual attainment and can be revealed to any of His
creatures who have the intellectual capacity for comprehending the facts of God, but not so for the
truth of God-that personal relationship that exists between the Father and His individual children,
His sons and daughters. This spiritual consciousness of God can only be comprehended through and
by faith. This refers to the wholehearted embrace by the whole self that the consciousness of God
is a reality and that those attributes of Him that we experience in our souls and minds are delivered
through the operation of faith.

Again there are many material analogies that we have made use of in the past to help us to grasp the
spiritual counterparts of truth, beauty, and goodness, even love, and we will make use of such a
material analogy in this discussion as well. For our purpose, we shall consider processes to build a
house. Now the house is designed by the architect. He prepares the plan and gives these plans to the
builder who actually builds the house along with his associates. These plans contains all of the steps
that are necessary for him to duplicate in actuality what before was only a plan. He studies and
develops his own plans for bringing this building into existence. After studying, he understands his
needs. He makes note of  all the ancillary personnel he will need in order to complete the structure,
and he makes note at what junction they will be needed. He selects the appropriate site for building
the foundation. Thus the carpenters, bricklayers, electricians, plumbers, sheetrock hangers, painters,
carpet layers, furniture bringers, and landscapers are all timed to appear in the order that they are
required. Under his coordination the building proceeds according to schedule and is soon erected and
made ready for the owner to move in. Now keep in mind that before this building was materialized,
it was only an idea in somebody's mind, but because the desire, knowledge, and will were there the
idea became a factual reality. And so it is with faith: It is the builder of God consciousness.

God the Father is the architect of faith. He is the designer of it; thus faith is perfect although
exercising it is not due to our immaturity. One of the major problems with the exercise of faith is the
failure to recognize it’s spiritual nature. Faith is not designed to be used to change or nullify physical
laws but to portray to the mind and soul of the Father's children the meanings and values that exist
between them. And like the architect of a builder whose plans are perfect but whose use is distorted
and changed into something else, the misuse of faith does not yield the intended effect. When the
plans of the architect are used as intended, the result is the translation of the plan into actual reality.
When faith is used as intended by the Architect, the result is spiritual consciousness of the Father,
the translation of the potential consciousness of God into the actual consciousness of God. This faith
as it were carries the consciousness of God. When it rest upon a solid moral foundation, it builds the
consciousness of the heavenly Father, and this consciousness is in His Son, the personal revelation
of the Father. God is spirit and God is love.

So when we strive to become aware of the presence of divine love in our minds and souls, it is faith
that builds this consciousness and thus the presence of the Father. But this love that bathes our souls
and minds at all times can be best felt and realized as we bestow this love upon our brothers and
sisters. "All true love is from the Father, and man receives the divine affection as he himself bestows
this love upon his fellows. Love is dynamic. It can never be captured; it is alive, free, thrilling, and
always moving. Man can never take the love of the Father and imprison it within his heart. The
Father's love can become real to mortal man only by passing through that man's personality as he in
turn bestows this love upon his fellows.”

The love of the Father is always real, but without the exercise of faith, without wholeheartedly
believing that it is real, it can never build the consciousness of divine love in our souls and minds
as a spiritual reality. Faith must be unshackled. This is similar to a person sitting in a swimming
pool. Our senses perceive the sensation of water, but this sensation pales in comparison to a person
swimming in it. In order words, the movement through the water gives a sensation that is not to be
experienced just by sitting passively in the water. Divine love is designed to be active, experienced.
Even in the eternal relationships on high, the Father's love is expressed in the Son, and His acts are
manifested in the Spirit. When this love is launched into action, then does the consciousness of this
love become real. Thus the consciousness of divine love is the outward impulse to love another
person unselfishly, and the realization of this love happens as we pass it on.

Thus when we bestow this love upon our brothers and sisters, we have found and become conscious
of the heavenly Father. This exchange of love continues to create more and more love as it is
manifested in an endless loop. This love is definitely seeking an infinite and eternal manifestation
in the lives of the Father's children. The process of divinely loving rises higher and higher, even to
the heights of paradise perfection, where one day we shall surely stand in His presence and worship
him, the source and destiny of this marvelous affection.

This concludes today's message on understanding the faith consciousness of the heavenly Father's
will. We hope you find something in this message to ponder and pray about as you go about your
day.

Until next time, this is Dr. James Perry.
